This Engagement shoot at the Sunshine Coast has me oohing and ahhing all over again! I love when couples are adventurous and are up for something different. When Chris and Diana asked to have their Engagement shoot at the Sunshine Coast Pine forest, and I suggested tagging on a short hike up a mountain to capture a sunset after, I wasn’t expecting for them to say yes. I am so glad they did!

When people book me in to Photograph a wedding, and their engagement shoot, I always hear things like “we don’t like being in front of the camera”, “my fiance hates photos”, “I don’t know what to do in front of the camera”, or “I always feel awkward in front of the camera”. Don’t worry, I get it. In fact, I hear these phrases so often, it’s unusual for me to get a booking without one of the phrases tagged on. It is my job to make you look awesome in front of the camera. Yes I have some kick arse equipment, yes I can read the light like a pro, yes I am friendly and love to have a laugh with you, yes the images will be hand edited, individually after with care… What I can also do, is read body language and get the most out of my clients during a session by giving them certain verbal cues, to help them relax. Getting them to stand a certain way, or whisper something in her ear, or close your eyes, or move your chin towards the sun, or hold hands, whatever it takes, to ensure I get the shots I need to handover a gallery after our session. Remember it is up to your photographer to produce beautiful photos. Let them do all the work.
